LoTi Single Course List

LoTi Single courses serve as a practicum for participants to create a short-term action research investigation customized to an individual’s instructional needs. The emphasis is placed on collaboration and the creation of professional learning communities.

The timeline for online courses in the LoTi Classroom can be adjusted to fit your financial or staff availability guidelines. Most LoTi Single courses currently offered are equivalent to one full-day of onsite staff development training, but each can easily be adjusted to meet the needs of your school or district.

All courses in the LoTi Classroom are asynchronous; they do not require all participants to be logged into a course at the same time. The intent of the LoTi Classroom is to provide convenient, cost-efficient, high-quality professional development services for participants on their own time schedule.

LoTi Single Courses

High Level Thinking Processes: $90 per person
The first course in the H.E.A.T. series; the High Level Thinking Processes online course explores the principles of Bloom’s Taxonomy and complex thinking strategies in order to analyze and improve instructional practices in the classroom.

Engaging Students: $90 per person

The second course in the H.E.A.T. series; the Engaging Students online course explores strategies for engaging students and promoting their active role in the classroom learning experience.

Athentic Connections: $90 per person
The third course in the H.E.A.T. series; the Authentic Connections online course focuses on ways to infuse authentic, real-world situations into student learning experiences.

Technology Tools: $90 per person
The fourth and final course in the H.E.A.T. series; the Technology Tools online course explores a variety of FREE online tools and how they can be used effectively to support and transform student learning experiences.

Learning Modalities: $90 per person
The Learning Modalities online course addresses the use of learning styles assessments and the Multiple Intelligences learning theory to help teachers horizontally differentiate classroom instruction.

Fundamentals of LoTi: $90 per person
The Fundamentals of LoTi online course explores the LoTi (Levels of Teaching Innovation) Framework, a scale designed to accurately measure effective technology use, instructional practices, and digital-age literacy.

Collaborative Learning Environments: $90 per person
The Collaborative Learning Environments online course explores online communication and collaboration tools using Web 2.0 technology for active student engagement.

Differentiating with H.E.A.T.: $90 per person
The Differentiating with H.E.A.T. online course is designed to help participants acquire the knowledge and skills to implement successfully the tenets of differentiated instruction in the classroom with special emphasis on tiering or scaffolding lessons.

LoTi Moodle Facilitator Endorsement: $90 per person
The LoTi Moodle Facilitator Endorsement online course provides participants with the background knowledge/skills to conduct LoTi online courses within their school system at a reduced cost..
